Before You Call

It’s a good idea to have some relevant stuff ready before you call Mediacom Customer Support or start your chat. You can return equipment at your nearest Mediacom store. Alternatively, Mediacom will mail you a return box and you can be ship it back. To get Mediacom to send you the return box, send your account number to their email at totalcare@mediacomcc.com, or their social channels at Facebook or Twitter.
From your home digital phone, enter your 7-digit phone number. You will be asked to enter your voicemail passcode followed by the # key. From any other phone dial your 10-digit number (including area code), press *, enter your voicemail passcode, and then press #.
First you need to know your TV’s code. Follow this website and enter “Mediacom” in the provider’s search field. You will see a list of remote controls, click “code finder” under your remote’s name and image. Now click “Add New Television”, and in the search bar enter your TV’s brand name. After that you can enter the TV’s model number. If you don’t know the model number you can see a list of codes. On the same page you’ll see instructions on how to program the remote.
  1. Press the device key.
  2. Press and hold the SETUP key until the device button flashes twice.
  3. Enter 9 – 9 – 2 using the digits on the controller.
  4. Press the device button twice and it should blink twice.
