The stage is all set in Hamburg, Germany, as the world’s best Dota 2 teams clash at The International (TI) 2025. From format to streaming guides, schedule, dates, and more, Here’s all that you need to follow to catch up on the TI 2025.

*Horn Blows* The Battle Begins!

TI 2025 Prize Pool

This year’s TI prize pool is $2,356,156 USD, thanks to the sales of the Supporter Bundles. Initially, it was around $1.6 million, but the bundles dropped during the in-game dashboard makeover.

Frankly, the entire dashboard looks absolutely amazing, and the features, especially the predictions, added rewards, and supporter stickers (after Quartero's Curio) make things even more exciting. If you haven’t seen it already, then head to the game right away to get your bundle and support your team!

The International 2025 Venue & Dates

This year’s TI is held in Hamburg, Germany, the same place where it all began with the very first The International (2011). It brings back so many memories, iconic moments, and the first-ever TI champions, NaVi!

That being said, the group stages (4th – 7th Sept) are over, and the teams that won have made it clear why they deserve to be in the TI. But things are about to get even more intense with the actual tournament beginning on the 11th in the Barclays Arena, Hamburg, Germany.

Group Stages

The group stages began on the 4th with a Swiss system format. Teams did pray to get an easy draw, but it’s the TI – there is no easy draw. Anyway, this year’s group stage matches were simply Enigmatic!

I can’t believe that fan favorite Team Spirit and the defending champions Team Liquid are out of the tournament already. This was as unexpected as an ‘Echo Slam outta nowhere’. That being said, I’m actually excited: are we going to see the Uncrowned King finally getting crowned? (Mind you, Ame had 1 death in 4 TI matches – talk about stats!)

Xtreme Gaming, played exceptionally well in the group stages, being the only team to wipe out their opponents in 4 of their matches (directly securing their position in the TI without playing a 5th). They were later joined by Tidebound and BetBoom, with a 4-1 win rate. That, and the ‘Rapier’ showdown between Spirit and Falcons, a 70+ minute clash, ultimately costing Spirit the game; what a match it was!

Considering the effort given by each team, we can surely expect some pretty intense matches ahead that will certainly ‘Stampede’ our adrenaline.

The International Beginning

With the group stages over, these 8 qualifying teams will compete in the following format:

Qualified Teams:
  • Tundra Esports |
  • BetBoom Team |
  • Heroic |
  • Nigma Galaxy |
  • Team Tidebound |
  • Xtreme Gaming |
  • Parivision |
  • Team Falcons

This format has been followed for every TI, allowing lower-bracket teams a second shot at the title. OG cashed this opportunity in 2018, and we definitely want to see another team do so. But, given that each team has performed so amazingly in the group stages, it’s hard to expect ‘monkey business’ like OG from any of them.

Where to Watch Dota 2 The International 2025?

I’m sure by now you already know where you can watch The International. But for those who haven’t been following, here are the platforms where you can catch the TI 14 action live:

Dota 2 YouTube Live

Dota 2 YouTube Live

Dota 2 Twitch TV Live

Dota 2 Twitch TV Live

Steam TV Live

Steam TV Live

Dota In-Game Live

Dota In-Game Live

Dota 2 YouTube

The first platform to ‘Hook’ is the game’s YouTube channel. For the group stages, the channel hosted multiple streams for consecutive matches (trust me, it was tough to follow Tundra’s and Spirit’s matches simultaneously).

But, again, like me, you can easily open the stream from multiple links and place them on different tabs. You can follow the channel at https://www.youtube.com/@dota2.

Twitch TV

If you’re an active member of the Twitch community, then you can tune in to the Twitch TI 2025 Live Stream for all the action. Just like YouTube, you can find the live stream, but with additional features such as live channels from various Dota players, predictions, rewards, etc.

If Twitch isn’t opening on your browser, try changing your browser or clearing the cache. If the issue persists, then it’s probably because of the location. For that, you can use a VPN; however, you might experience speed issues with that.

Steam Broadcasts

How can we not mention the platform that hosts this game, and that too for free? With Steam, you can watch The International 2025 online without any hassle. Simply:

  • Launch Steam on your device (laptop/PC).
  • Head to the Community Hub.
  • Find Broadcasts; this section highlights existing streams, including The International 2025.
  • Depending upon your requirement, you can choose the type of stream, i.e., channel, language, etc.

Dota 2 In-Game Viewing

If you’re like me, hooked to the game to amp up your player roster (I had high hopes from Insania and Yatoro tbh), then you can watch the TI Live within the game. Just head to the Watch Tab in the main menu (which, assuming, every Dota player is doing right now),  and you’ll find the currently running streams. Select the stream for the match that you want to watch, and it’ll run it within the game.

Update: You can now watch The International Live stream on the Dota 2 in-game dashboard.

Best Internet for Streaming TI 2025

Now, if you were streaming the group stages, I would’ve considered cutting some slack for poor internet performance. However, when you’re watching the official TI matches have kicked off, it means business, and there’s no point in tolerating lags during the stream.

Since the event is live, you don’t just need high speed; you need consistency to keep the stream running smoothly. Don’t worry, we’ve rounded up the best internet options for streaming so you don’t miss a moment of action:

Find the Top Internet Providers Near You and Stream Without Limits!

AT&T

With AT&T Internet, you get super-fast fiber speeds with no data caps, annual contracts, or equipment fees. High-speed internet plans backed by fiber connection allow you to easily stream all TI matches seamlessly!

What’s more is that AT&T offers symmetrical speeds and the AT&T All-Fi™ provides better coverage than your supports’ wards (ouch!). For overall performance, AT&T is easily one of the top picks.

Optimum

In case you don’t have AT&T available near you, then you might want to look for Optimum. Offering fiber internet with no data caps or contracts, Optimum is the ‘Hard Support’ for your streaming setup needs.

Higher bandwidth options, great coverage, and minimal lag; the perfect ‘wombo combo’ for catching every TI play. With unlimited data, you can watch your favorite teams ‘terrorize’ the opponents without missing a glimpse.

Xfinity

Fiber internet’s biggest drawback is limited availability, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get a fast-speed internet connection. Fortunately, several cable internet providers offer gigabit speeds, and Xfinity is one of them.

Offering services in more than 40 states, you can rely on it to ‘carry’ your internet and TI live streaming needs. The pricing is affordable, and you can save up more with Xfinity bundles for additional discounts.

Who Will Lift the Aegis?

Well, it all comes down to this question: who will claim the Aegis and win the Dota 2 The International 2025? Considering the group stages, I’m really skeptical, especially with how things turned out. But the 8 qualified teams will be putting up a fight of their lifetime!

I’m sure your predictions didn’t go as planned either (I know you were rooting for Spirit). Don’t worry, I got mine wrong too. But there’s still time, so keep predicting, root for your favorites, and stay tuned for the live action!
